TIBI (Total Illness Burden Index for Cancer of the Prostate)

Description: The collection of additional patient information such as sociodemographic, health status and disease management burden enabled us to predict non-cancer mortality and treatment results using the “Total Illness Burden Index for Cancer of the Prostate” (TIBI-cap). The TIBI-cap has been widely tested and used as an instrument to capture patient-reported information for outcome prediction. However, a huge stumbling block to gathering this information is that patients often do not complete and do not return the paper questionnaires because of patients’ lack of motivation and engagement. The goal of this project is to develop an engaging user-centric application – My Total Health Index Companion (MTHIC) – which would overcome the current challenge to an effective and secure collection of patient data.
